Major River – I am a significant river system in Bangladesh , originating from the mighty Ganges River . As I flow southeast, I merge with the Jamuna River (the main channel of the Brahmaputra River ) near Aricha . Further downstream, I join the Meghna River to form the immense Meghna Estuary , which eventually empties into the Bay of Bengal . I am known for my vastness and the fertile lands I help create.
