What is this place?
Underground cave temple – I am an ancient cave system known for a perennial underground stream that flows into two small kunds (ponds). This place is believed to be where Lord Rama and Sita spent time during their exile.
Why people come here
Spiritual solace & natural wonder – People primarily visit me for spiritual reasons, to offer prayers and experience the unique natural phenomenon of the underground stream. It's also a place of quiet contemplation and a chance to connect with ancient legends.
What to expect
Cool, dark caves – Expect to enter a series of naturally formed caves, which can be dark and have low ceilings in some sections. The highlight is the continuous flow of clear water within the caves. It's generally a peaceful atmosphere, attracting pilgrims and those interested in mythology.
Spiritual or cultural significance
Divine connection – I hold significant religious importance, particularly for devotees of Lord Rama . The underground stream is believed to be the sacred River Godavari itself, appearing here from a hidden source. It's a site steeped in the epic Ramayana.

Respectful conduct – As a religious site, visitors are expected to dress modestly. Photography might be restricted in some areas, so it's best to observe signs or ask. Maintain a respectful silence and remove your footwear before entering the main shrine areas.
Practical info
Managed entry – The site is usually open during daylight hours. The path inside the caves can be uneven and wet, so wearing comfortable, non-slip footwear is advisable. There are usually small shops outside selling puja items and refreshments.

Unique experience – The experience of walking through the caves with the cool water flowing underfoot is quite distinct. It can be a little challenging for those with mobility issues or claustrophobia due to the narrow and dimly lit passages.
