Journey Details – The shrine is open year-round, 24/7. The trek to the main shrine can take anywhere from 5 to 10 hours, depending on your pace and mode of transport. Options include walking, ponies, palanquins (pithoos), or helicopter services from Katra. Modest attire is generally expected, and photography is typically restricted inside the main cave. Facilities like washrooms, food stalls, medical aid, and resting points are available along the route. Shoe storage and cloakrooms are provided at the Bhawan.
