Historical background
Nawab's Legacy – This beautiful structure was constructed in 1854 by Nawab Wajid Ali Shah, the last Nawab of Awadh. It was initially known as 'Qasr-ul-Buka', or the 'Palace of Weeping', and served as a venue for Muharram mourning rituals. Following the 1857 uprising, it came under British control and was later acquired by the Maharaja of Mahmudabad.

Elegant Architecture & Events – Here, you can expect to see a beautiful, open-sided structure with intricate designs, which appears to be made of white marble, though it's primarily crafted from chunam (lime plaster).
