Controlled Wilderness – I'm a designated eco-tourism zone, often referred to as the "Gir Interpretation Zone." My purpose is to provide a reliable opportunity to see the Asiatic lion and other wildlife in a contained, yet natural, environment without disturbing the larger Gir forest.

Safari Experience – Here, you can expect a guided bus safari through a fenced area. The experience is structured, offering clear views of lions and other animals like leopards, deer, and various bird species. It's generally a family-friendly outing.
Best time to go
Cooler Months – The best time to visit me is typically during the cooler months, from October to March. During these times, the weather is more pleasant for wildlife viewing. Early mornings or late afternoons are often ideal for animal activity.
Practical info
Safari Timings & Tickets – I operate on specific safari timings, and it's advisable to book tickets in advance, especially during peak season. The safari duration is usually around 45 minutes to an hour. Photography is generally permitted, but flash photography might be restricted for animal welfare.

Wildlife Spotting – The main activity here is wildlife spotting from the comfort of a safari bus. You'll have opportunities to observe Asiatic lions, often at close quarters, along with other indigenous species of the Gir forest. It’s also a good place for birdwatching.

Interpretation Zone – I am an "Interpretation Zone," meaning I offer a controlled environment for viewing. While it provides a guaranteed sighting, it's different from the more extensive and unpredictable experience of a full safari in the main Gir National Park .
