Om Banna Temple
What is this place? – I am a unique temple dedicated to a deity known as Om Banna, also called Bullet Baba. It's a shrine built around a Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle, which is believed to possess miraculous powers.
Why people come here – People primarily visit me to seek blessings for a safe journey, especially before long drives. Many travelers stop here to pray for protection against accidents.
What to expect – You can expect a devotional atmosphere, often bustling with travelers and local devotees. The main shrine features the enshrined motorcycle, adorned with garlands and offerings. It's a place of faith and local legend.
Best time to go – The temple is open year-round. Mornings and evenings are generally popular for prayers and offerings, though you'll find visitors throughout the day.
Practical info – Offerings typically include incense, flowers, and even bottles of alcohol, which are left near the motorcycle. There are usually small stalls selling offerings and refreshments nearby. Parking is generally available along the bypass.
Good to know – The legend states that Om Banna (Om Singh Rathore) died in a motorcycle accident at this spot. After the accident, his motorcycle was repeatedly moved to the police station, only to mysteriously reappear at the accident site each time, leading to the belief in its divine powers. This site is located on the Pali - Jodhpur Bypass in Rajasthan .
