British Construction – This formidable structure was built by the British between 1896 and 1906. It was designed specifically for solitary confinement, with seven wings radiating from a central watchtower, each cell intended to isolate prisoners from one another.
Kala Pani – It famously housed numerous Indian freedom fighters and political prisoners, earning it the dreaded moniker 'Kala Pani' or Black Water, due to the severe isolation and harsh conditions.
