High-altitude lake – I am Madhuri Lake, also known as Sangetsar Lake. I am a beautiful high-altitude lake nestled amidst the towering mountains of Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh. I was formed by a major earthquake in 1950, which created this unique landscape.

Summer to autumn – The best time to visit me is generally from April to October. During these months, the weather is milder, and the skies are clearer, offering the best views of my surroundings. Winters bring heavy snowfall, which can make access challenging.

Permits required – To reach me, visitors generally need an Inner Line Permit (ILP) for Indian citizens or a Protected Area Permit (PAP) for foreign nationals to enter Arunachal Pradesh. The road leading to me can be winding and sometimes rough, so a sturdy vehicle is advisable.
