Post-monsoon to winter – The best time to visit me is generally from October to March, after the monsoon rains. During this period, the weather is pleasant, and the reservoir is full, offering the most impressive views of the spillway in action.Practical info
Open hours and parking – I am typically open during daylight hours, but it's always best to check local timings before your visit. There is usually ample parking available near the dam site. Wear comfortable shoes as there might be some walking involved to get the best views.Good to know
Unique spillway – I am particularly famous for my unique semi-circular "duckbill" spillway, which is quite a sight when the water overflows during peak monsoon. Also, nearby, you can find a beautiful botanical garden , which is worth exploring for its diverse plant life.
