Island Shrine – I am the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, a magnificent monument built on a small island rock in the Laccadive Sea, just off the coast of Kanyakumari . I commemorate the visit of Swami Vivekananda, who meditated here in 1892 before his journey to Chicago.

Dress Code – As a place of spiritual significance, visitors are encouraged to dress modestly. Shoes must be removed before entering the mandapams.
