The crowd typically consists of families, couples, and local tourists enjoying the sea and the various stalls. What to do here – Beach activities – Here, I find that visitors enjoy strolling along the beach, taking dips in the sea, and simply relaxing by the shore. You can also find local vendors selling snacks and souvenirs. Best time to go – Mornings and evenings – The best times to visit are during the early mornings for sunrise views and a calmer beach, or in the late afternoons and evenings to enjoy the sunset and the bustling local scene. Practical info – Accessibility – Old Digha is generally accessible, with the beach being a short walk from most accommodations. Parking facilities are typically available in designated areas near the beach, though they can fill up during peak times. Good to know – Seawall protection – A significant part of the Old Digha beachfront is protected by a concrete seawall, which is a popular spot for visitors to sit and enjoy the sea breeze. This also means direct beach access might be limited in some areas compared to New Digha.
