While generally peaceful, it can become quite vibrant and busy during major festivals.

Mornings & Seasons – I recommend visiting in the mornings for the most serene experience, as it's typically quieter. Season-wise, spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are generally best, offering pleasant weather and clearer mountain views.

Respectful Conduct – When I visit, I always advise dressing modestly, covering shoulders and knees, as a sign of respect. Remember to remove your shoes before entering the main prayer halls. Maintaining a quiet demeanor and refraining from loud conversations helps preserve the monastery's peaceful environment. Photography might be restricted in certain sacred areas, so always look for signs or ask.

Today, while has grown around it, the monastery still retains a sense of peaceful detachment. It houses a community of around 90 monks, contributing to its vibrant spiritual life.
